STAINS

For iron stains, I use:

CITRIC ACID

is extremely helpful if you have fresh or old iron stains in your swimming pool or spa.

I have found that this product seems to take the stains out of concrete, fiberglass, acrylic, plastic and wood

CAUTION

Only do this to your swimming pool during the winter. This product will strip all your chlorine, alkalinity and lower your pH to the 6.6-6.8
Citric acid will turn your swimming pool GREEN if you do not boost these levels within a few days after the treatment

ALWAYS ADJUST THE ALKALINITY LEVEL AFTER

Spa / Hot Tub Citric Acid Application Method #1

For fast results drain your spa / hot tub. Put a small amount of citric acid on a scotch pad and start rubbing on the shell. Rinse off and you should see the original color of the spa. Make sure you keep your drain plug open so you can dilute the water as you drain the spa / hot tub of this special product
Spa / Hot Tub Citric Acid Application Method #2

An easier, yet less effective, method of stain removal in your spa / hot tub is to add about a 1/4 LB per 500 gallons  directly into your spa /hot tub. Circulate water for 20 minutes, brush shell and drain. Wipe entire shell clean, Refill and balance the water chemistry

  Swimming Pool Citric Acid Application

Add roughly 1 LB of citric acid per 5,000 gallons into your swimming pool and you should see the difference the next day. This method works best for most pool surfaces (Concrete/plaster, vinyl and fiberglass)
